The other closing RVA Best Buy is their Mechanicsville location. As I saw others point out on Facebook posts about these store closures, it's a little mind baffling that this location in particular is getting the axe and not the Glen Allen location on Brook Road about 8 miles away, which is a little more isolated and lowkey in comparison. With that being said, I feel like a contributing factor to this store's demise may be the neighboring Chick-fil-A's drive-thru line spilling onto Bell Creek Road and blocking easy accessibility to the store, a pretty common scenario nowadays. I might be totally off base and that's unrelated to the closure but at the same time it doesn't seem implausible! Anyways, this store is set to close on March 6th and has already emptied out a little bit in certain departments like TVs and games. It's a typical Best Buy store model as to be expected, but is still worth documenting in case the company ever folds or changes up their aesthetics dramatically.
