Target #2770 (137,725 square feet)

4554 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Suite 500, Pembroke Mall, Virginia Beach, VA

This location opened on October 10th, 2012.

The site of the location replaced an entire wing of the mall, which was built in 1981 and demolished in 2006. The anchor store was a 65,000 square foot Rices Nachmans, which closed on February 4th, 1985 and reopened as a Hess's on February 25th. Hess's closed in March 1993 and became a Profftt's on August 12th, 1993, which closed in March 1997, then became a Dillard's on August 2nd, 1997, which closed in July 2002.

Another significant tenant of this wing was the 34,178 square foot Cineplex Odeon Cinemas 8, which was built and opened in 1988, replacing their original two-screen theater that sat on the mall property and had opened as an Ultra-Vision theater in 1971 (the buildings looked similar). This theater was rebranded as NEI Cinemas 8 in 1990 and Regal 8 Cinemas in 1995, which closed on July 2nd, 2011. It was the only building to survive the 2006 demolition.
