TheBrickMan
LEGO® Brick Eiffel Tower
Builder and Designer Mark Curnow called this model "one of the toughest LEGO jobs I’ve had so far!"
The model is approximately 50% minifig scale, but we made the decision to include minifigs
because minifigs are fun and add so much life to a model. Being located in the city of love, we added lots of figs proposing to each other and a few weddings!
Building this model was a painstaking task in repetition and required a lot of prototyping to be sure each panel would hold itself up- and then replicated that support four times for each level!
There is a lot of subtle “brick bending” in this model, using the innate flex of LEGO® pieces to achieve connections that reinforce each other and pull the model together giving it the strength required to hold itself up.
The tower is just under 2m high and took Mark 62,350 LEGO® parts and 190 hours to build.
