Ryan Dyar
In the Shadow of Greatness
Hiking into this spot on a brutally hot August day while being attacked by every mosquito in all of Montana: “Why in the hell do I put myself through this misery.”
Shooting the photo: “Omg, this is so much fun! I love this!”
Hiking back out of this spot in fairly dense Grizzly Bear country in the middle of the night: “Why in the hell do I put myself through this misery?”
I have a love/hate with nature. But seeing an alpine lake crowded with icebergs and jagged mountains rising up from the shore beyond is worth the annoying hikes, bugs, and bears (that are mostly not interested in humans, if I’m honest).
As always, thanks for scrolling far enough to see my dumb little picture. If you are interested in learning how I create my dumb little pictures, reading my dumb stories or seeing more dumb photography, you can head to www.ryandyar.com or check out the link in my profile. Email subscribers get free video tutorials monthly. ❤️
