Retirement of the Volvo

On the 8th of December 10 of the 11 Enviro 400 Cities line up for their first weekday in service whilst Volvo B7TL Y814 TGH (442) lines up for its last, finishing its day on the 19:15 34 from Derriford.

With this day being the first day in service for 4 of these vehicles I can say that they are neither good or bad, I feel they're a little too slow on hills and could do with a ZF Ecolife but they are smart and do look the part, especially with the new livery.

It is sad to see the Volvo's and Tridents get withdrawn but these new buses bring even more well needed investment into Public Transport in the region. With the recent trial with the Bio-Gas N280 Scania I am curious to see if this brings change to the fleet with potential orders in the future!

All buses in the photographed were placed as part of an organised shoot and I had permission to take these photographs.
