"In the Mood"
Breeding season for the American Alligators has begun. Although the have no vocal cords, this big bull bellowed so low and loudly, I first thougth it was someone trying to start the engine of a generator. Like barking dogs in the same neighborhood, several nearby males all answered. This big bull, standing up on all fours, high as possible, bloating like a toad as he sucks air his lungs and blowing it out in intermittent, deep-toned roars.
