Starry Moraine Lake (Explored)

It is a very mixed feeling when I heard this news: “Parks Canada announced they will be closing Moraine Lake Road to personal vehicles year-round due to an unmanageable level of traffic that has been growing over the last several years”. Parks Canada says their shuttles, Roam Public Transit and tour buses will only be allowed from June to mid-October. From now on tourists, climbers, hikers and runners will now have to book a shuttle to get a lift or ride a bike up the 12.8-kilometre paved road. Not sure how early the shuttle will start running on daily basis…

This starry photo at Moraine Lake was probably my last early morning photo in this famous place! Luckily had chance standing close to the edge of the Moraine lake for couple of hours in the cold dark morning last fall…
