Lake O'Hara is one of the best-preserved places in the Canadian Rockies. It sits high in the Canadian Rockies at an elevation of 2,020m (6,627 feet). It is a beautiful sub-alpine glacial lake surrounded by the towering peaks of the Canadian Rockies. There are so many accessible trails starting right from the lake, hikers can easily spend days here without getting bored.
The photo was taken while climbing the most difficult trails in this area (except one was closed due to too dangerous slippery). It was snowed couple of days ago, the trail was steep, narrow, and slippery. I thought about giving up in the middle of the mountains, but equally difficult to come back. So, no choice, just kept goingβ¦ Total climbed 9.2km with elevation gain 1721 meters. The scenery on top was breathtaking, stopped couple of times to take photos, this photo was taken almost reaching to the top, while Mary Lake was still in the view! The camera hung on my neck increased climbing difficulty. π
