Early morning in the dark, getting to Cavell Road - Mount Edith Cavell area. Driving the 14-km road, which is narrow and has tight switchbacks that are unsuitable for trailers and large motorhomes (eighteen bends in 180-degree π). Arrived the parking lot in the middle of the mountains, no cars there at all. The hiking to the glaciers at its head was not so difficult, too quiet in the early morning, bells was not enough to scare the bears away, putting on the apple music on loudly while hiking. The views of the lush Astoria Valley along Mt. Edith Cavell and Sorrow Peak were spectacular in the early morning light.
