The Three Sisters in Canmore, the town’s most recognizable peaks and some of the most unique in Canadian Rockies. The Three Sisters are never getting old 😉. The names of the Three Sisters are individually known as Big Sister, Middle Sister, and Little Sister – or Faith, Hope, and Charity respectively.

 

Directions to get there: park at the off-leash dog park near Alpine Helicopters in Canmore, cross the highway 1A and go under the train tracks using the short tunnel. Follow the riverbed until it becomes a path, continue through the forest (be careful you are in bear territory so bring your spray and make some noise), walk about 5 minutes to the Spring Creek, it opens up and offers fantastic reflections of the Three Sisters. This place is a little gem.

 

PS: I went there twice, first time to check the location around sunset time, second time for sunrise, it was very dark in the early morning to walk there before sunrise… Head lights and bells helped. I will post the “secret” photographing locations and tips for my over two weeks trip at Rocky Mountains, it will save others’ time to hunt it, stay tuned... 😉
