Portrait of a Gentleman by Cella of Boston Lincolnshire

The photographer was Signor Luigi Antonio Cella of 7a Wide Bargate Boston. There is also a stamp on the card which seems to be C Bringeman. Luigi Cella was born in Ferriere, Piacenza, Italy in 1831

In 1871 he was living at 5 Wide Bargate Boston.with 3 daughters and a son

By 1881 and 1891 he was living at Silver Street with his wife Catherine Cotton whom he married in Boston 1860

Luigi Cella died in Boston in 1897

A 16 page album of carte de viste portraits. The cabinet card pages are blank and if there were photos they have been removed. There is no family name recorded in the album and I don't think any names are recorded on the back of the photos.

Despite this it is an album that is in very good condition and seems to generally contain photos from the late Victorian age going by the more extravagant advertising on the back of the cdv's
