Last meal before sundown
I'm not totally happy with this shot for several reasons, technical and artistic. I waited and waited for the horse to lift up his head and move between the two trees, a tad cliché but what the hell. Unfortunately he refused to budge to oblige me and chomped his way through the grass, right until after the sun had set, I couldn't move because of the barbed wire fence and flare from the sun. Afterwards he even had the cheek to turn his head and look at me, I swear he was grinning at my frustration! :-) So I'm posting it more for the pleasant memory of a very sussed but stubborn horse and a gorgeous evening.
