Stormland
Back off holiday…boo, hiss! We had a strange but wonderful mix of sultry sun, blinding blue, and stormy skies. I took this shot from the Zig-zags, a well known, steep but safe-ish final ascent up on to the north east shoulder of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), and it's always a good spot to take a breather while enjoying the expansive views down the cwm to the mountains beyond, especially of Moel Siabod on the left of shot.
The only reason I was up Yr Wyddfa in the first place was to take Jay's son-in-law, Stoo, to the top of his first ever mountain. The day started reasonably fine but by the time we'd reached this point on the path the weather had turned, fortunately for us though, the worst of the weather had skirted around the flanks of Yr Wyddfa leaving us with a cold, cloud hidden mountain top and light showers – showers which eventually became a constant heavy drizzle to follow us down on our descent….and we loved every minute of the whole experience. :-)
I hope this post finds everyone well, free of the dark side of the force and creating images like there's no tomorrow! I'll be catching up with you over the next few days.
