19 April 2020 Update from A Locked Down Ghent
It has been one month now that we have been staying at home. For a month I’ve been teleworking and snapping my way across a locked down Ghent, capturing the city as it unfolds before my eyes wondering how the “new normal” will look like. The good news is that our efforts seem to pay off. The latest figures confirm the downward trend; the number of corona patients in Belgian hospitals keeps going down. While 303 corona patients had to be hospitalised, 387 were discharged from hospital. There are now 5,069 Covid-19 patients in Belgian hospitals, 92 less than the day before.
