13 April 2020 Update From A Locked Down Ghent
Yesterday it was announced that on Saturday 392 people were admitted to hospital and that 477 patients were discharged. There are currently 5,353 people in hospital with coronavirus symptoms, of whom 1,223 are in intensive care. The total number of people in hospital has fallen by 282 in a day. The number in intensive care is down by 39 over the same period. So far 6,463 people have been discharged from hospital and made a full recovery. Unfortunately, also 268 new fatalities were reported, bringing the total to 3,600 since the outbreak began. Despite the gloom and doom of the corona crisis I continue with my corona walks in search of moments to remember - Werregarenstraat, Ghent, Belgium
