Armalite AR-7 Explorer (Modified)
This is the Armalite AR-7 Explorer 22 Caliber rimfire with a Barska Plinker-22 4x32 scope. I modified it with a replacement barrel, 16 round flip magazine, cantilever scope mount, and pistol grip stock from AR7 Industries. I'm not particularly impressed with the rifling of the barrel. They more closely resemble scratches rather than rifling. The original barrel had similar rifling, so I am not expecting a whole lot of improvement in accuracy, but it does look a little more impressive. The barrel did require a little fitting in order to get the barrel to attach to the receiver. Seemed it was a really tight fit requiring removal of some metal with sandpaper in order for it to slide into the receiver properly.
