Dark Skies

Take two on the post of this plane.

A quarter of a century ago, she roamed the skies above Australia, defending our coastline, enforcing our foreign policy, protecting our way of life.

Today, she sits abandoned in a field, corrugated iron sealing her wounds. Wheels rusted, engines sold for scrap. Immobile. Radar removed, bomb bay welded shut. Impotent.
