Pulleys and gears

Old tools frequently are an open book in that you can see the parts and with a little imagination figure out how they worked and what they did. These are at the Newlin Grist Mill near West Chester, PA. Dating from 1704, this mill produced flour for over 200 years, and with some support and lots of elbow grease, will do again soon. I hope to buy some. The mill and museum is supported in part by the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission, a significant photographic benefit to living in the Commonwealth (if you like to see and photograph old things).
