Blisworth Tunnel

Inside Blisworth Tunnel. Constructed between 1873 and 1805, it became unnavigable in the 1980s owing to distortions caused by the geology. It was reopened in 1984 after a substantial section was rebuilt using concrete segments. The concrete technology was used as a testbed for the materials that were later used for the Channel Tunnel. 9th June 2012.
