TTArtisan 75mm f/2: Focusing at the edges, Near
The biggest weakness of the TTArtisan 75mm f/2 lens is its inability to achieve sharp focus at the long edges of the frame, even at f/8, when the subject distance is close.
I don’t mean the drop off in sharpness or contrast as you move from the center to the edge. I mean if you place the subject at close to either edge, the lens cannot deliver a sharp image even stopped down to f/8.
As these tests show, if the subject is placed too far off-center, you cannot get a sharp image. All these images have been uploaded at full resolution, so you can click any of them to see the details at a pixel level.
