Tanzania-D2-0124 SONY ILCE-1
This is a ground hornbill that I have previously photographed many times, but never in flight. This time, the planets aligned well. Our safari vehicle was in the right spot, the lighting was pretty good. I saw the bird twitch a little and slightly crouch, so I paid close attention, and the bird did take off. Also obliged me by taking off and choosing a flight path that worked for me :)
