Brain and Cognitive Sciences Complex

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Cambridge, Massachusetts

This new 412,000 SF research complex brings together three distinct research entities to create a world-class center for brain science. Programmed to contain a rich array of wet and dry laboratories and animal facilities supporting biology, biochemistry, neurobiology, behavioral and cognitive research, the Brain and Cognitive Sciences Complex is designed around a daylit, sculpturally-shaped atrium lined with tea rooms, faculty offices and terraces to foster interaction among the scientists.
