A Crack in The Swamp Where The Light Shines Through
Caddo Lake, Uncertain Texas
This is a photo that I made one morning at sunrise as the sun broke over the hill and through the trees and onto the mist on the surface of the calm water.
When I saw the light I got pretty excited about it all.
This photo was taken from our canoe with my D850 and my trusty 70-200 vr ii, hand held, first thing in the morning. My good friend and
workshop co-leader Alyce Bender, just Bender to her friends, and I got out on the water as quickly as possible when we saw the mist on the water. It has 28°F and the water was vaporizing while the faintest breeze slowly moved it across the water surface.
I took a series of shots while the light beams were there. I liked this one best.
The comp is simple and the processing minimal, which I'm just fine with.
