Franklin Barn
Linda and I went for a ride looking for back roads in southeast Idaho where we had never been and found some interesting barns and farmland.
Franklin was the first permanent European settlement in the state of Idaho. It was founded in 1860 by Mormon pioneers who thought they were in Utah. This must have been one of the first big barns in the area and it is sad to see it has been abandoned. There are still cables leading to the loft, so it probably had a Jackson hay fork under that peak when it was still in use. It is still a magnificent structure.
