Mac Mini Memory Upgrade

The Apple Store clerk said that if I tried to upgrade the memory myself, it would void the warranty. I refrained from giving a homebrew lecture, even though she made me sign a receipt in recognition that she said it. The Genius said that's nonsense as long as you don't break anything in the process and confirmed that the tool they use is a putty knife. I used two 1 1/2 flexible knifes, created a bevel with sandpaper, could have done it with one.

This article says how to do it. The only missing piece was the above photo which shows the plastic clips.

I also found this tech manual (pdf) with illustrations that tells you how to take a Mac Mini apart for all kinds of reasons.
