Infinita (Cecile Balmond)
Amsterdam, Light Festival -The design of the installation "Infinita" is also based on such a fractal: the tetrahedron, a pyramid with a triangular base. The bright beautiful quartz structures of the plant are made up of many tetrahedra. These are reminiscent of a cracked rock crystal or a split iceberg. But in the second instance, beyond the beautiful surface, unfolds the complexity of the internal structure. As if the spectator just like Alice in Wonderland through the mirror back step and suddenly ends up in a parallel reality, where time, space and the existing condition new, wonderful perspectives.
