Time to Reflect
A Kemps ridley stops at the water's edge, waiting for the next set of waves to wash up closer as she takes a break to catch a breath or two before resuming her voyage back to her offshore home. This turtle had laid a clutch of eggs on Galveston's West End, was captured to be satellite tagged, and had her eggs relocated to the safer confines of Padres Island National Seashore. For those interested in following her movements, please look on seaturtle.org under TAMUG 2012 Nesters and follow links for "Kahala". Other turtles alos featured on my photostream are "Missy" and "Mij".
