Mary Hartigan's Restaurant Dedham,MA
Mary Hartigan's Restaurant located at 910 Washington St. in Dedham,MA. The restaurant was demolished in 2011 and by 2014 a medical office had been constructed on the site. The restaurant was constructed as a Dutchland Farms Restaurant in the early 1930s although by the mid 1940s was renamed after its proprietor Mary Hartignan. The Hartigan family operated the restaurant until the early 1990s. Once the Hartigan's sold the property the building was converted into an interdependently owned restaurant which operated under the name Piccadilly Pub. The Piccadilly Pub restaurant operated for a few years before being converted into a seafood restaurant which closed in 2010. Note the building had a very similar design to the highly successful (at the time) Howard Johnson's Restaurants complete with tiled roof and cupola.
