Former Grant City Discount Store located at 1400 South Limit Ave. in Sedalia,MO. The building is currently occupied by a Kmart. This Grant City location closed in 1975 with the building quickly being acquired by Kmart which has still retained the overall exterior design and even hints of the original Grant City interior. The most notable interior holdover from Grant City is the olive green floor which gives an odd, dark feel from the florescent lighting throughout the store. The auto care center is leased to an independent repair shop operating under the name Auto Masters. The auto care center has a strange setup as there is still access to the (seperately owned) auto care center from inside the Kmart building. There space which operated as the restaurant for Grant City and later Kmart now holds a rather large office supply and stationary department.
