Former Alpha Beta Market located at 731 East Blithedale Ave. in Mill Valley,CA. This store was converted into a Lucky Store following their takeover of the Alpha Beta chain which was completed in February 1990. Albertsons took over this store along with the rest of the Lucky chain in November 1999. This store closed along with 36 additional stores in Northern California during June 2006. This store (along with a number of additional locations Albertsons closed) is still vacant as of October 2008. There are banners promoting Whole Foods opening a new store in the building but so far nothing else has proved any movement towards a newWhole Foods Market. The Alpha Beta letterscar is still visible on the wood facade but you have to look closely.
