Longs Drug Store Walnut Creek,CA
Longs Drug Store located at 1123 South California Blvd. in Walnut Creek,CA. This is the flagship Longs location with the Longs headquarters located nearby. The store opened on June 24th 1969 and was the largest Longs Drug Store in the chain which had more than thirty locations at the time. A year or so ago Longs renovated the store with their new look (which I personally hate) and closed off the entrances in favor of one door under the Longs sign. This practice of closing off entrances is coming quite common at Longs locations receiving the latest remodels. I understand the potential effect that occurs with shoplifting but at some of the stores I cant understand the need. Note that there was a set of doors where the handicapped parking spaces are but since the remodel occurred the handicapped spots arent really all that convenient for those who need convenience.
