There were a few extreme days in January when the sky started to glow. This is often triggered by air pollution - the trigger here was ice crystals in the lower layers of the air and the low or setting sun.

What's special about this photo is that it was taken towards the northeast. In this direction, the landscape and sky turned extremely pink and the snow also reflected the pink color extremely. I just had to turn around to admire the other extreme - here everything was bathed in extreme reddish colors.

I've never experienced anything so extreme.
