It was storming and raining all evening when suddenly the rain stopped and the cloud cover broke and the low sun (it was after 11pm) lit the clouds like a ball of fire from below.
I can't remember ever having experienced such a spectacle of colour. I'm pretty sure the atmosphere was actually more extreme than my capture can reflect.
