Looking towards Trænstaven in the cold Northern Lights (338 m above sea level)
Trænstaven is the highest mountain on the island of Sanna with its 338 masl. Sanna is part of Træna municipality, which consists of several islands and is located directly on the Arctic Circle.
Sanna only had one or two permanent residents this time when I took this picture. But in the summer there are people who live then - mainly people who originally come from Sanna or have a connection to Sanna. It is the last outpost and is located 50 km from the mainland. If we had failed with our kayaks, the next mainland would have been the north coast of Iceland.
