Monument station`1988-2011
Many thanks to steve white2008 www.flickr.com/photos/25347284@N04/3510285751/ yet again for the excellent top photo and my first old n new of 2011!!.... The building to the extreme left was completed in 1922 and known as Gateway to the city and is now a House Of Fraser..The subway entrance to Monument station has been changed slightly was smaller letters,all of the right has been demolished i recall a Mcdonalds being along there once..The building behind at Gracechurch Street and Eastcheap still survive..
