The tiny Mamaku Drovers Hut is an abandoned and derelict landmark on the outskirts of Rotorua. It was once used as an overnight resting place by drovers and farmers moving mobs of stock through the central North Island in the days before motorised transport took over. A very basic building with lots of heritage. Good to see that it still stands in recognition of such type of historical buildings.
