On the limestone - cairn and pavement. Yorkshire.
The headless sphinx in the background is Pen-y-ghent, across Ribblesdale. Which has been there like that since long before the local tourist board and mass transport were invented.
Some of us wandered west here when Doggerland was dry. More of us arrived later by boat. And now, later still ... there are far more of us, all is under threat, & it's even more confusing ...
