1930 Bugatti 49
The Bugatti 49 was the successor of the Type 44 and the forerunner of the legendary 57. It was technically highly sophisticated with overhead camshaft, three valves per cylinder, twin ignition which resulted in 16 spark plugs.
Bugatti was also one of the first to take care of the design of the mechanical parts down to the smallest detail. The rims are a smaller version of the wheels of the Royale.
This 1930 Bugatti Type 49 is on display at Autoworld, Belgium’s national motor museum, in Brussels. A mere 300 models of the 49 were built.
