1928 Bugatti Type 44
Successor to the Type 38 and predecessor of the Type 49, this is the first "Touring" model produced by Bugatti. Sturdy and reliable, but with advanced technology: overhead camshaft, three valves per cylinder (2 inlet, 1 outlet). It has a forged tubular front axle.
Some 1,200 units were built, this 1928 Bugatti 44 model boasting bodywork built by Mahy. The car is on display at Autoworld, Belgium’s national motor museum, in Brussels.
