1965 Corvette C2 L78 Convertible
This 6.5 litre V8 Corvette is the most powerful version of the C2 Sting Ray from 1965, recognisable by the raised hood, because of the larger engine, type designation L78. It is also the rarest variant in the model range of that year.
The "side-pipes" - the exhausts on the flanks - were one of the many factory options. 8,186 coupes and 15,378 convertibles were produced. This car is seen on display at Autoworld, Belgium’s national motor museum, in Brussels.
