1951 Jaguar XK120 DHC
The Jaguar XK120 was the fastest production car in the world when launched... Originally designed to showcase Jaguar’s new 6-cylinder XK engine, the XK120 was not initially intended for volume production, but following a rapturous reception at the Earl's Court Motor Show in London in 1948, plans soon changed. Becoming more widely available in 1950 its 120mph top speed and styling were unprecedented in the immediate post-war years.
XK120s were very successful in motor sports of all kinds, both in Britain and in the US.
