Cotton-top Tamarin - Saguinus oedipus

The Cotton-top Tamarin is a critically endangered New World monkey found in a small area of northwestern Colombia. They are small bodied and easily recognised by the characteristic fan of long, white hair on their heads. The Cotton-top Tamarin displays a wide variety of social behaviour. In particular, groups form a clearly defined hierarchy where only dominant pairs breed.
