Lighting tower, London Olympic Stadium

One of fourteen lighting towers that surround the 2012 Olympic Stadium. Each tower can house up to 44 floodlights and is at a height of 60m above play. The towers are located above the roof to provide the best angle for glare avoidance. Each tower weighs 34 tonnes. The intensity of light produced allows for HD broadcasting.
