Nothing quite says Christmas getting a letter through the post saying you're a failure, lol.
This year got crazy, and although I started out this German course really well, I totally couldn't keep up with the pace and had to let it rest for a while... have started to pick it up again though, so all is not lost. Shame I couldn't have made it through and see how I would have done in the exam, it's the first time I got back into anything educationy for years, and it was comforting to know that I could pull it out of the bag again... at least for a while.
edit: lol, my dad just came in and said "let's hope santa doesn't get one like that". cheeky chappy.
