Andrena Haemorrheoa

This handsome fellow, or rather female, is a miner bee, so called because it burrows into the soil where it builds a nest. Unlike most bees, for the most part it is solitary.

This one is called an early mining bee, because it makes its appearance from early spring. It is widespread throughout Europe, North Africa and Asia.

Have a great weekend, take care and God bless.
