Blue-sided Tree Frog (Agalychnis annae)

Yellow-eyed Monkey Frogs or Blue-sided Tree Frogs (Agalychis anae) are listed as IUCN endangered. They were formerly widespread and abundant. They were so common that they were often seen around coffee plantations, and are called coffee frogs by locals.

This individual is pictured perching on the branch of a coffee tree and inside the red, green and yellow berries are coffee beans. The beans are harvested and roasted before ending up in your morning mug of joe.

This was shot was extremely challenging to take, but I think it was worth the work and ended up being my absolute favorite shot of the trip.
