miracle fruit

I was always wondering how to put this weird seed to use. This is the perfect way, in a restaurant like this.

We're served an unimpressive fruit course

of a clump of citrus wedges and a couple greenish strawberries & are told to take a bite out of 3 fruits. Then water. Then the miracle fruit comes out in these cute little frying pan-looking dishes and we're told to chew the seed for a full minute. There's a hourglass and everyones eyes are rolling around as we work the seeds and I'm sure we all look like cows.

Going back to the fruit everything sour is now supersweet. There's laughing and wines are ruined. But I don't drink so who cares? I want to carry one of these in my pocket at all times.
