Dead Bird
In the parking lot of the clinic next to my apartment is a large stone retaining wall. The wind whips furiously through the lot and creates a vortex of detritus in one of the parking spots. Usually, it's just dead leaves, cigarette butts and other assorted bits and bobs.
Today when getting out of my car, I noticed this dessicated bird corpse. So pretty, and so sad. I can't really be sure of white type of bird it was; too light to be a starling, none of the distinctive feathers of a mocking bird. I'm thinking dove, but it doesn't seem to have the correct tail feathers.
