Simple Abstract 262
Detail shot of Whittle Arch, public art installation in Coventry, England. It is dedicated to Sir Frank Whittle, the inventor of the turbojet engine, who was born in Coventry.
The arches are one of two steel complex torsion structures built in 2003 designed by architects MacCormac Jamieson Pritchard.
I believe they were designed to resemble vapour trails.
The building through the arch is 'Millenium View', student accomodation in Coventry, England.
See my other recent photo of this building here: flic.kr/p/2qTsgFv
Architects: Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson.
Photo taken in March 2025.
