Andy at Tate Modern

This in-camera photograph of my partner, Andy, was taken at the Yoko Ono exhibition at Tate Modern, London, in July 2024.

The exhibit, 'Add Colour (Refugee Boat)' was an interactive installation by Yoko Ono. The installation featured a white boat in a white room. Visitors were invited to write comments or slogans of the current state of the world and the ongoing refugee crisis in blue marker pens onto the boat and walls.

I understand that artist's inspiration to create this installation stemmed from seeing news reports of refugees in boats trying to find a new life for themselves in different countries.

My photo is currently on display at the Original Gallery in Hornsey Library as part of the Crouch End, London Independent Photography's, Satellite group annual exhibition. See @crouchendlip on Instagram for details.
